Subject: Not gumby... yet
This short (3:11) little film by the later creator of Gumby is a wild animated series of clay (playdough) figures based around the three simple solid geometric figures: sphere, pyramid and cube. They go through surprizing evolutions to nowhere in particular. At the end, we are given a winking, emoticon like face.

Subject: Great pre-Gumby short film
It takes hours and hours of painstaking work to make a short film like this. Clearly, this was an experimental test film that formed the basis of the wonderful Gumby series. Gumby had many surreal, trippy sequences that defied logic and storytelling which was appreciated by kids and the 60s hippie generation. He also did the opening credits for the dreadful film "Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine", which is on Hulu.

Subject: Cool
That was cool. This is what happens when adults play with there kids playdough.

Very pointless and no storyline but still cool.

UPDATE: Art Clokey (the guy that made this cartoon, Gumby, and Davey and Goliath) died on January 8, 2010, aged 88, at his home in Los Osos, California.
